General FAQ

How long have you been doing this?

I have had the massage license for 10 years, the cosmetology license for 4 years. Yep, I still love what I do. The average massage therapist retires after somewhere between 2-7 years in this career.

Is your spa wheelchair accessible?

Yes. There are no stairs, and I have a hydraulic table that will ensure transferring is an ease.

Is there parking?

Parking is plentiful.

I'm in a Big Rig/RV/Camper, is there parking?

Yes, there is parking for even an 18 wheeler with a trailer.

What are the Sanitation Procedures at Simply Touched Salon?

I do my best to use new items on each client, so there is no possibility of any cross contamination, but the exact procedures are as follows:

Massage: Hands are washed prior to each client, and the cream used on the body has been added to the pump prior to commencing. I do not dip my hands into the cream, as it is a pump. Nevertheless, there is new product added in between each client.

Waxing: Hands are washed prior to each client.  For hard wax, I use wax beads, where the beads are added fresh for each client. Nevertheless, I do not double dip in the wax pot so there is no possibility of cross contamination. For soft wax, it is a wax pot, but again, there is no double dipping in my salon.

Sugaring: Hands are washed prior to each client. Sugaring entails reaching into the jar for a ball of sugar that is continuously flicked across the body until it is disposed of. A freshly gloved hand is utilized each time I reach for sugar.

Shaving/ Trimming/Hair: Hands are washed prior to each client. The clippers are dipped, head first, into a hospital grade sanitizing solution and switched on to agitate any organic material out of them, in between each client. After, they are also sprayed with a disinfectant to deliver a second punch. The guards, tweezers, & combs are first scrubbed clean in soap and water, and after, are completely immersed in a hospital grade disinfectant for 10 minutes. Razors are one-time use, they are disposed of when your service is complete. Every razor utilized is new, every time.

Linens: The linens are changed in between each client, and are laundered in a hypoallergenic detergent and bleach to ensure that they are not only clean, but no ingredients will irritate your skin.

If you still have question regarding sanitation and cross contamination, please feel free to e-mail at [email protected] or call/text (469) 251-9859. Your utmost confidence in the cleanliness of my facility and the services rendered is very important to me.

What is proper etiquette while visiting your facility?

Allow me to begin with the most important thing you can do to have the best experience at my spa- arrive on time for your appointment. I have a deeply held belief that your visit to my spa should be a time in your day where you can truly kick back and forget about the concept of time. I don't want to spoil your treat to yourself by rushing through your service.

OK! So you're at the spa, on time, and now you can throw your watch aside.  Kick back and have a beverage. During your treatments, please drape to your comfort level. There are spas that frown upon wearing clothing and vice versa, however, it is up to you at my spa. I frown upon no level of modesty.

While receiving your services, please respect that this is a professional business and inappropriate behavior will result in, up to and including, either course of action here:

Being asked to leave, sans refund

Being Banned from further booking

Inappropriate means: If you don't want Grandma to hear it or see it, don't do it at the spa.

I don't see my question.

Please E-mail [email protected]. Or, you may call/text (469) 251-9859.
